YPFのミッションは「着想・創造・共有」です。

アートの視点と文脈から写真を媒体とした文化交流を行う事で、多様性の島「屋久島」で新たな価値が循環する仕組みづくりを推進します。その一つとして、島のあらゆる地域資源に焦点を当て、新たな発見と創造が生まれる、アーティストインレジデンス（滞在制作）の機会を創り出します。

これまで見過ごされてきた島の断片を、アーティストによる多様な視点から拾い上げ、制作された新たな写真表現は写真祭に集約され、多様な形を通して国内外へと共有されます。

2022年度はアーティストインレジデンスプログラムに、「YPF PHOTO AWARDS2022」にてグランプリに輝いた写真家・柏田テツヲ氏が2022年9月12日から島を訪れ制作された作品群を展示します。

The mission of YPF is "Inspiration , creation, and sharing".

By conducting cultural exchange through the medium of photography from the perspective and context of art, Yakushima, an island of diversity, will promote the creation of a system in which new values circulate. As one of these activities, we will focus on all local resources on the island and create opportunities for artists-in-residence (artist-in-residence) to discover and create new things.

The artists will pick up fragments of the island that have been overlooked until now from diverse perspectives, and the new photographic expressions created will be integrated into a photography festival and shared in a variety of forms both domestically and internationally.

 

In 2022, photographer Tetsuo Kashiwada, winner of the Grand Prix in the "YPF PHOTO AWARDS 2022," will visit the island from September 12, 2022, and exhibit his works in the Artist-in-Residence Program.

在りし日の屋久島の人々の文化、歴史、産業など、暮らしの 風景のアーカイブス化を試みます。

展示を通して写真の中の物語が個から公へと共有されることで、 

視点の拡張と新たな発見へと結びつけることを目的としています。

2022年度は屋久島の北部に位置する「一湊区」にて開催します。

The YPF Found Photo Archives Project is a project to collect, exhibit, and catalogue photographs from personal photo albums in the homes of 26 villages in Yakushima Town.

The "YPF Fund Photo Archives Project" is a project to collect, exhibit, and catalog photographs from private photo albums that lie dormant in homes in 26 villages in the town of Yakushima.

The project aims to archive the culture, history, industry, and other aspects of the daily life of the people of Yakushima in the past.

Through the exhibition, the stories in the photographs will be shared from the individual to the public. 

The exhibition aims to expand viewpoints and lead to new discoveries by sharing the stories in the photographs from the individual to the public.

 

In FY2022, the exhibition will be held in Ichiminato-ward, located in the northern part of Yakushima.

2022年度は、去る2017年に写真家・マウロ モンジエーロが屋久島をテーマに制作された「Yakushima Blues」が出版されました、それを記念して展示いたします。

In FY2022, we will be exhibiting in commemoration of the publication of "Yakushima Blues" by photographer Mauro Mongiello, which was created in 2017 on the theme of Yakushima Island.

2015年以来、YPFは国内外より数多くの写真家を屋久島に迎え作品制作を行って参りました。

様々な視点から制作された屋久島の一片は国内外におけるギャラリーやブースを通して共有され、視覚によるコミュニケーションを行なってまいりました。

​今回は、その作品群の中からセレクションした展覧会を開催致します。

Since 2015, YPF has welcomed numerous photographers from Japan and abroad to Yakushima to create works.

The pieces of Yakushima produced from various perspectives have been shared through galleries and booths in Japan and abroad to communicate visually.

This exhibition will feature a selection of these works.

株式会社シグマのご協力により実現した、吉村卓海と千々岩孝道の二人展。

シグマが誇る、Foveonセンサーを駆使し制作された作品は圧倒的な解像度を楽しめます。

The works created with Sigma's Foveon sensors offer overwhelming resolution.
