屋久島国際写真祭 x ヴィラ九条山コラボレーション企画展『post-』開催のお知らせ

京都市内各所で展開される多様な表現が地域と訪れる人々をつなげ、新たな発見や交流がうまれる「KG＋」にて、今年も屋久島国際写真祭は展示参加致します。

今回は、関西日仏学館を開場に、ヴィラ九条山とのコラボレーション企画展となります。

日仏のアーティストによる異なる手法、メディア、視点が交差し、次へと繋がる展覧会に是非お越しください。

『post-』

我々が認識しているものとは一体何か。

言語学者フェルディナン・ド・ソシュールによれば、 人間は社会システムの影響を無意識の内に受けており、 言語の恣意性により認識の齟齬が生まれるとした。 概念的に日本語では”蝶・蛾”は区別されるが、フランス語では”Papillon”で統一される。 国や地域の差異によるこの認識の齟齬は、無意識の内に世界の見え方や思考に影響を与える。

文化相対主義を謳った文化人類学者レヴィ・ストロースは、 社会に優劣はなくルートの差異なのだと言った。 一見、合理的には見えない文化・風習であっても、 そこには緻密な体系を持った知的フレームワークが存在する。 世界を分類し、秩序を与え、厳密な論理性を備えた”ブリコラージュ”なのだと。

社会は無意識的な構造とその関係性によって構成され、それは普遍で多様である。

本展示会は日仏4名のアーティストが、 それぞれ風土から培われた”感覚” ”認知” “概念”を用いて創造した作品を アメーバのようにブリコラージュした。 空間がもたらす高次的且つ球体的な思考により、 “post-“の洞察のための機会となる事を願っています。

De quoi sommes-nous conscients exactement ?

Selon le linguiste Ferdinand de Saussure, l’Homme est inconsciemment influencé par la société, et le caractère arbitraire de la langue crée des différences de perception. En japonais, les mots « papillon » (蝶, chō) et « papillon de nuit » (蛾, ga) sont distincts, alors qu'en français, on les désigne par le même terme « papillon ». Ce décalage de perception dû aux différences culturelles influence inconsciemment notre façon de voir et de penser le monde. 

L'anthropologue Levi Strauss, qui prônait le relativisme culturel, affirmait qu'il n'y a pas de supériorité ou d'infériorité entre les sociétés, mais des différences dans les itinéraires des sociétés. Même les cultures et les coutumes qui ne semblent pas rationnelles à première vue sont inscrites dans un cadre intellectuel précis. C’est un « bricolage » avec une logique rigoureuse qui catégorise et organise le monde.

La société est composée de structures inconscientes et des relations entre elles, universelles et diverses.

Cette exposition présente des œuvres bricolées comme des amibes, créées par quatre artistes japonais et français, chacun utilisant les sens, les perceptions et les concepts cultivés dans leur pays d'origine. Nous espérons que cet espace de réflexions offrira un aperçu des idées « post ».

What exactly are we aware of? 

According to the linguist Ferdinand de Saussure, humans are unconsciously influenced by the society and the language arbitrariness creates discrepancies in perception. In Japanese, "butterfly" and "moth" are conceptually distinct, but in French, "papillon" is used as a unifying term. This discrepancy in perception due to cultural differences unconsciously influences the way we see and think about the world.

Cultural anthropologist Levi Strauss, who advocated cultural relativism, said that there is no superiority or inferiority between societies, but differences in the routes of the societies. Even cultures and customs that do not appear to be rational at first glance have an intellectual framework with a precise system. It is a "bricolage" that categorizes and orders the world with rigorous logic. 

Society is composed of unconscious structures and their relationships, which are universal and diverse.

This exhibition presents works put together like amoebas, created by four artists from Japan and France, each using the "senses," "perception," and "concepts" that they have cultivated from their native lands. We hope that this space will be an opportunity for insight into "post-" ideas.
